  F1-SEVEN - '76 DSC Motorsports F1 Team now available
The 1976 DSC Motorsports Team car has been released for F1 Challenge. This download require the F1-Seven 1975 and GFX 1976 mods to be installed first.

1976 DSC M02A

The M02A was a completely new car for the 1976 Formula One Season with the team starting from scratch, aside from the ever-present Ford Cosworth DFV powering the car. A narrow chassis in contrast with it's predecessor, initial testing proved positive, although consistency and reliability in the early races was hard to come by.

However, at the French Grand Prix the team had started to get on top of the issues in the car, and 6th place was followed by a 5th at the British Grand Prix. With the car shining at the high-speed tracks and in changeable weather, two further 6th places in Austria and Japan represented DSC Motorsport's best season to date, leaving them 10th in the Constructors Championship with 8 points.

1976 DSC M01D

For the first time in the teams short existence, DSC Motorsports fielded a second car. After failing to qualify for the struggling Stanley-BRM team in Brazil, Ian Ashely was approached to drive a second car. Last year's M01D car was updated and prepared for Ashley to drive, and was modified further after the United States West Grand Prix, when a ban on the tall airboxes that had become commonplace was enforced.

Despite finishing an impressive 7th place at the South African Grand Prix, Ashley's results were blighted by retirements and the occasional error, and after the British Grand Prix Ashley was replaced by Bob Evans. The move was slated in the British motoring press, but having tested and raced for Lotus earlier in the season, Cole was looking to Evans to help develop the M02A in the future. Evans was on more than one occasion let down by the M01D chassis, but everything held together for Evans to take 6th place in the Dutch Grand Prix

The car can be downloaded from the Downloads Section.
